Portsmouth City Council Grants 2009-2010

Portsmouth City Council will not be having an open-to-all grants programme for 2009-2010.
The council  is committed to supporting voluntary and community groups in the city and all organisations who are currently receiving funding from the council have been invited to reapply for funding for 2009-2010.

The council is also working to transfer long term grant funding arrangements of over £10,000 a year for three years duration into contracts, so giving greater stability of funding to the third sector.

The free funding website, Portsmouth4Community, which is accessed from the Portsmouth city Council website has details of over 4,000 local and national funding opportunities and has been used by hundreds of organisations in the city since the council started providing it two and a half years ago. You can access the website by going to www.portsmouth.gov.uk , click on “have your say” and you’ll then find the link on the right hand side of the page.

We have also produced an  alternative funding guide for small groups in the city who are seeking funding, and if you’d like a copy of this please contact us on 023 9284 1451 or email voluntary.sector@portsmouthcc.gov.uk
