The Childrens Trust
Last updated: 26 February 2010 11:29The Childrens Trust for Portsmouth has responsibility for aligning strategic agendas and driving partnership activity to deliver and support the Children’s agenda across Portsmouth.
The Childrens Trust now has its own website with regually updated details on its activities.
Key aims of the Childrens Trust
- To provide strategic leadership to secure improved outcomes for Children and Young People.
- To develop a strategic overview for the work of the Childrens Trust.
- To be accountable for key inter-agency decisions that relate to children’s services
- To promote and apply in practice agreed Children’s Trust ways of working
- To negotiate and secure local political multi-agency support for the work of the Childrens Trust and the Children and Young People’s Plan

- Primary Care Trust
- Police
- Connexions
- Community representation (needs further discussion through meetings)
- Voluntary & Community Sector
- Youth Offending Team
- Schools (2)
- Further Education
- Health, Housing and Social Well Being
- Children, Families and Learning (2)
- Economy Culture and Community Safety
- Lead for Children’s Trust Development
- Chair of the Joint Commissioning Group
