Portsmouth (Virginia), USA

Sister City Link with Portsmouth since 1982.

Portsmouth, Virginia, has strong naval traditions and it is on this basis, and our shared name, that the Sister City link was formed.

In 2001 the Mayor of Portsmouth visited our city for the International Festival of the Sea.  In 2002 Lord Mayor of Portsmouth, Councillor Elaine Baker, visited Portsmouth for their 250th anniversary celebrations.
