Take an Old Town Walk and learn more about the history of Portsmouth

Walking on historical city's pavements A free guided walk through some of Portsmouth’s historic streets will be setting off from the City Museum and Records Office on Sunday, 12 October at 2.30pm.

Walkers will learn more about some of the buildings and personalities that give colour to the historic area of the city, tracing Portsmouth’s past from the city’s beginnings to the present day.

The Old Town walk replaces a previously advertised Murders and Mysteries talk at the City Museum which will now not go ahead.

The walk takes around 90 minutes and finishes at Croft’s Wine Bar, which has a hidden secret – a historic well. Everyone is welcome to join the walk. Children must be accompanied by an adult. For more information please call the Visitor Information Service on 023 9282 6722.
