Open day this weekend at nursery’s new site

Following their relocation to Somers Park Primary School at the beginning of this month, Paws Community Nursery are holding an open day this Saturday to showcase their new facilities.

The open day takes place on Saturday 13 September from 10am-1pm and will give parents and professionals the chance to see what is on offer, with lots to keep the kids busy while they are there including a fire engine, face painting, a cake stall, 2nd hand kids clothes and toys sale plus a variety of children’s activities.

The move has increased the number of places available each day from 68 to 110, where they continue to offer full day care for children aged 0 to school age, plus care in the school holidays for children up to 11.

Formerly the Portsmouth City Council workplace nursery, Paws has been operating for over 12 years, offering high quality care and education with flexible fees. Term time only places are also available.

Open 7.45am to 6pm for 51 weeks of the year, the nursery works in partnership with parents to ensure their child’s needs are met.  It has been commended as 'outstanding' by Ofsted.

Rebecca Reeve Paws Nursery Manager said: “I am thrilled with the response we have had to the launch of the new facility and the support given by our existing parents who have been great.

“We still have some vacancies, but they are filling up fast, especially mid week but we welcome any new parents to come and look around and have a chat about what we an offer"

Somers Park Primary school is conveniently located in the city centre, close to local amenities and transport links.
