Head to the city centre for fabulous Funday Fridays
Fridays just got more fun, with a programme of free entertainment for young people in the city centre over the summer.
From Friday 25 July to Friday 22 August there are activities and fun on offer in Portsmouth city centre to get the weekend off to a great start, including street theatre, creative workshops, street dance and hip hop, BMX and skate displays and face painting.
All events are free and take place at the junction of Commercial Road and Arundel Street in Portsmouth.
Friday 25 July, 11am
Street dance / hip hop: Professional dancers from South Zone performing, join in to learn the latest routines if you want to be fit and funky
Friday 1 August, 12pmJason Maverick: Fantastic street theatre from this very talented performer who can animate any space and captivate any audience
Friday 8 August, 11am
Makendoo: A children's painting and making workshop where children can make and make hats, masks, banners, flags or plaster figures
Friday 15 August 12pm
Magic Singh: An amazing magician who does mind blowing tricks with individuals and small groups, suitably impressive for all ages
Friday 22 August, 12pm
Effraim Catlow: An opportunity to see this local BMX Flatland champion perform some stunts and tricks and as well as demos you can also have a go yourself
Plus there's free face painting each week!
