Get more out of it - Learn for Life

Picture of books and a computer Want to have a go at something new? Find out more about the learning opportunities available in and around the city at Portsmouth City Council's 'Get more out of it' Festival of Learning at Castle Fields from 11am - 3pm on Saturday 12 July.

Portsmouth City Council has joined forces with local education providers to encourage more adults to find out about learning opportunities.

There will be activities for all the family including arts, crafts, storytelling, mask making, kite making and flying. The annual Portsmouth Outstanding Learning Achievement (POLA) Award winners 2008 will also be announced.

Councillor Eleanor Scott, Executive Member for Education, Children and Young People at Portsmouth City Council, said: "If you have thought about learning a new skill, why not visit the Adult Learning Fair to find out more about the courses available in your area.

"Adult learning is a way of meeting new people, learning new skills and, most of all, having fun."
