New photo exhibition opens at City Museum

Camera Havant Camera Club's 38th National Open exhibition is on display at Portsmouth's City Museum from tomorrow (Saturday 21 June) until Sunday 7 September.

The club invites entries from photographers nationwide and over 400 prints and slides are submitted. The exhibition this year has been judged by Mike Birbeck FRPS, FDPS and a panel of four of his prints are on show.

The exhibition has categories for both prints and slides including Open (any subject), Nature, Portrait and separate sections for Havant club members only.

Havant Camera Club is open to everyone all with an interest in photography, from beginners to advanced. Set up informally in 1958, the club is now 50 years old and the first 'Open exhibition' was held in 1970.

The club meets on Tuesday from 7.30-10 pm from September to May at St. John Ambulance Hall, Fraser Road, (off James Road / New Road) Havant.

Admission to the City Museum in Museum Road, Portsmouth is free. Opening hours are 10am to 5pm.
