Get on your bike on Tuesday
The T-shirts - distributed by organiser Portsmouth City Council - feature a bold "vroom" logo, emphasising just how quick and easy cycling to work can be.
Amanda Morris, the council's Bike2Work organiser, said: "Bike2Work Day is a chance to get on your bike and find out why more and more people are choosing bikes for their journey to the office.
"People I know who have tried cycling to work for a day end up getting hooked on it. It keeps you fit, cuts your parking and petrol costs, and it's a lot easier than people think - especially in a mostly flat city like Portsmouth.
"When you go by bike, you know exactly how long your journey will take, because traffic congestion isn't such an issue.
"We've run out of T-shirts now, but anyone can take part on the day. There will be a real sense of togetherness for cyclists, whether they're experienced bike commuters or beginners."
Portsmouth Bike2Work Day is part of National Bike Week and the Hampshire Cycle Festival. For more information residents can contact Amanda on (023) 9284 1332 or amanda.morris@portsmouthcc.gov.uk.
