Hottest tickets in town now available
Tickets are now available for the annual Portsmouth City Council Mayor Making ceremony - a real showstopper.
Taking place on Tuesday, 13 May at 11.00am in the Guildhall, this year's event will feature the historic ceremony of the keys as well as music by the Highbury Area Band.
Drusilla Moody, Tourism and Visitor Services Manager for Portsmouth City Council said, "If you have never been to a mayor making ceremony this is a great chance to see all the pomp and historic ceremony of the city."
The ceremony will see Councillor Richard Jensen made Lord Mayor of Portsmouth and Mrs Miriam Kenny-Williams become Lady Mayoress.
Free tickets are available from the Civic Offices reception, Guildhall box office, Cosham Library or by contacting the Events Team on 023 9283 4067.
