By George - it's celebration time at the Visitor Information Centre

St George slaying the dragon England's national day is being marked at the Visitor Information Centre (VIC) on The Hard in Portsmouth next Wednesday (23 April) with fun activities and the cream of English food.

The brightly decorated VIC will be hosting colouring activities for children and a St George's Day wordsearch and quiz as well as complimentary traditional English food and drink. For children, there's also the chance to win a soft toy dragon.

Open from 9.30am to 5.15pm, all visitors are welcome to come along to the VIC and help celebrate St George's Day in traditional style.

Jane Singh, Visitor Information Manager for Portsmouth City Council, said: "This is an excellent opportunity to mark England's national day and enjoy some typical English food and drink at the same time."
