Get off to a flying start with a dawn chorus walk
If you're an early bird, why not come along for a 'Dawn Chorus' walk on Saturday 3 May?
Organised to celebrate International Dawn Chorus Day on 4 May, the walk aims to get local people to engage with nature and leaves from King George V playing fields car park at 5.30am on 3 May.
Registration is from 5.00am. The walk will be approximately two and a half miles around Lakeside and North Harbour, and is suitable for wheelchairs.
Katie Carew-Robinson, physical activity worker, said: "The walk will be a great way of connecting with wildlife and getting fit at the same time. We hope lots of people take the opportunity to get up early and experience the dawn chorus - one of nature's miracles."
