Local Involvement Network 'Host Organisation'

Expressions of interest are sought from suitably qualified organisations to provide support to Portsmouth's Local Involvement Network (LINk) under the Local Government and Public Involvement in Health Act.

Portsmouth is committed to improving people's experience of health and social care services by establishing a system for patient and public participation with an aspiration of involvement to highest standard and where the collective voice of local people and all sections of the community are engaged.

The City Council is interested in organisations that have a good understanding of health and social care commissioning and service delivery and are well versed in citizen engagement and empowerment, networking and have links to a wide range of organisations and communities.  The host organisation will be responsible for the establishment, maintenance and support of the LINk.

It is anticipated that the contract will commence in Spring 2008 and will be for a period of three years.
