Local Involvement Network (LINk)
Last updated: 04 April 2013 10:08
Portsmouth's Local Involvement Network (LINk) has now closed.
Until March 2013 LINk was a group of local residents who worked to help shape local health and social care services in the city. Following changes outlined in the Health and Social Care Act 2010 many of their functions will now be added to the role of Healthwatch.
Local Healthwatch will act as the consumer champion within the local health and social care sector. It will promote the views and feedback of patients and carers at every level of service commissioning. It will also be the access point for NHS complaints advocacy and provide information and help to local people who need help or have a question about local services.
The service will roll out from April 2013. For more information please visit the Healthwatch Portsmouth website. Alternatively, if you have any questions regarding the current transition phase you can email the communities engagement team for more information at haveyoursay@portsmouthcc.gov.uk or phone on 023 9268 8559. An archive of Portsmouth Link's activity can be found on their website.
