Biography

Councillor Leo Madden was elected to the council and Nelson ward in 1991 and is due for re-election in 2011. In that time he was the Leader of the Council from 1994 to 2000 and 2001/2002, Deputy Leader of the Council in 2002/2003 and Chair of the Resources Committee from 1991 to 1997. He has also been the Leader and Secretary of the Labour group.
