Biography
Councillor Gerald Vernon-Jackson was elected to the council and Milton ward in 2003 and is due for re-election in 2011. As leader of the city council he has the responsibility for the overall direction of the council and particular responsibility for issues around finance, property and the support services within the city council.
Councillor Vernon-Jackson is deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrats in local government across England and Wales and is on the Steering Committee of the Leadership Centre for Local Government.
