Council work
I’m a council representative on the Hampshire Fire and Rescue Authority.

Life outside the council
I’m a retired firefighter, 52. I work as a mortgage adviser and am divorced with five daughters and a son. I had 10 grandchildren last time I checked!

Portsmouth favourites
My beach hut, and Pompey (I have a season ticket).

Interests
I’m keen on walking, natural history, biographies and historical flims.

Challenges
To tackle the problem of arson.

Why I’m a councillor
At first it was all about the campaign to save Copnor fire station, but now I’m working on a lot of local issues.
