Previous Lord Mayors of Portsmouth from 1927

Portsmouth's Coat of Arms For many centuries before 1927, Portsmouth's First Citizen was The Mayor. Their names are listed on the Council Chamber boards. Against many names is listed the highlight of their mayoral year and this custom still exists today. To date there have been six female Lord Mayors of Portsmouth.
