Sub-contractor and supplier opportunities

We recognise that there are many contractors and/or suppliers that due to the size or age of their business, are unable to bid successfully for large contracts. They may, however, be able to for fill a key role within our supply chain in the form of a sub-contractor and/or supplier of material, equipment and /or goods to our main contractors.

In an attempt to help develop this supply chain, we would like to hear from such companies that would wish to be considered for specific contracts in this manner as and when they are advertised. All expressions of interest received from companies identifying themselves as sub-contractors and/or suppliers will, at the tendering stage, be passed onto the shortlisted tenderers, who may then wish to include you within their return tender submission.

We cannot suggest to our main contractors which companies are used, but by putting you in touch with them we hope that you can offer them commercially acceptable proposals.

Current opportunities and expressing an interest

To express an interest in any of the projects, send an email to us at procurement@portsmouthcc.gov.uk clearly stating which project you are interested in. Please ensure you give a contact name, telephone number and brief details on the elements and/or supplies you are interested in supplying.

e-Procurement

We reserve the right to use e-procurement technologies, including e-tendering and e-auctions, in any of our procurement processes. Interested bidders should be prepared to submit responses and bids using the Internet if and when required. Further supply chain opportunities may also be found within our e-Business Builder initiative.
