The scheme is voluntary and open to all areas of our business community who are willing to work with us to deliver these community based improvements, while at the same time develop their business in a way which is considered to be best practice.

In 2003 a special presentation ceremony took place in the Lord Mayor's Parlour in the Guildhall where the then Lord Mayor, Councillor Tom Blair, made presentations to the first three companies to receive accreditation to the Common Values Partnership. Over 100 companies have now taken part in the this scheme, achieving various levels and many are striving to improve their level of commitment.
