Contractors' Health & Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS)

We are committed to ensure the health and safety of our residents, visitors, employees and everyone that uses our facilities and services.

As part of this on going commitment, we continually assess and monitor the way in which contractors and suppliers provide their services in Portsmouth, while also reviewing the way in which we carry out such assessments.

Any provider in the construction industry or associated building trades who wants to enter into a contract with us must be compliant with the Contractors' Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) or its equivalent. This compliance must cover all categories of work included in the contract, such as plumbing, demolition etc.
