• A boarding out allowance for each child who is placed with you and/or a professional fee per child for level 2 or 3 carers
• Individual support from your own Family Placement Team worker
• A comprehensive package of training
• Support from the foster care liaison group (a group of carers and managers whose aim is to advocate on behalf of carers)
• The offer of a ‘buddy’ – an approved foster carer who you can contact if needed
• A Leisure Card to give discounted rates at Portsmouth City Council leisure facilitates
• Use of the Family Placement Team’s Ford Galaxy car (must pre-book)
• An individual foster carer ID card
