On Track - prevention is better than cure

On Track is a Government funded initiative which aims to support children (aged four to 12 years old) living in Paulsgrove and Wymering. This project will enable them to reach their full potential, reduce behavioural and relationship difficulties and reduce the risk of later youth offending.

The project does this by working with other services to provide support in the home, the school and the wider community. From April 2001, On Track has become part of a larger Government programme called the Children's Fund.

On Track Services include health visiting, Family Aides, behaviour and learning support in the classroom, parenting groups, individual and family work, groups for children, play schemes and activity groups. For further information on On Track phone (023) 9231 6750 or e-mail andygill@portsmouthcc.gov.uk
