Outreach

The Arts Service works with a range of partner organisations and community groups in the city to build its successful outreach programme, from dance projects with young people to sculpture and filmmaking with asylum seekers. Below are some examples of outreach projects over the past few years and projects planned for the future.

Tree Dressing 2008

As the weather grows crisp, the nights draw in and the leaves fall from the trees we are joining forces with local schools, artists and community groups to ensure that the branches are barren no more.

Sunday 7 December is National Tree Dressing day and what better way to celebrate the city’s much loved trees and parks than by gathering your friends and family and making your way to Milton Park to enjoy this fantastic occasion. Whether you take part in a craft activity and end up with a unique souvenir, sit back and enjoy the variety of entertainments on offer or take the opportunity of a guided tour of the park and its trees you can be sure of a fun rewarding and tiring day which you’ll be able to look back fondly on once you’re at home front of the fire!

Wrap up warm, kick your way through the leaves and get down to Milton Park for National Tree Dressing Day, from 10am on Sunday 7 December.
