The principal aim of Art Space Portsmouth is the support and promotion of contemporary artists and art activities through the provision of good quality, affordable studios. Art Space provides versatile working environments for artists with 24 hour access, seven days a week, inclusive of lighting and heating. There is also access to a workshop space. Art Space has 29 studios. Art Space Portsmouth provides a supportive and critical atmosphere to develop diverse artistic practices.

Dot to Dot is a participatory arts organisation established in 1987.
Dot to Dot works with partnership organisations and community groups to apply for funds to pay for project work.

Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra is funded through four main income streams: public funding through Arts Council England, South West core grant (42%) and local authority grants (15%); box office income (35%); and private funding through sponsorship, grants from trusts and foundations and individual giving (8%).

SCAT Theatre Company, based at Bedhampton Arts Centre, specialise in producing puppetry theatre shows and drama, mask and puppet making workshops for children. They are funded by Portsmouth City Council.
