Adventure playgrounds are a safe haven, staffed by dedicated and fully qualified individuals who can help turn your child’s visit into an adventure. Our play workers encourage children to make their own decisions and take risks, safe in the knowledge that help is at hand when they need it.
Children learn countless skills through play. At adventure playgrounds we let children make their own choices about what they want to do and how they want to do it. This motivates them to become independent and boosts their confidence.
No two playgrounds are exactly the same, but if your child enjoys a stimulating environment with loads of play opportunities, an adventure playground is for them. They can whizz along zip lines, cool off in splash pools, get messy in sand-pits, show their artistic talents with arts and crafts, build dens, climb trees, dress-up and much, much more.
So whether it’s gardening, construction, discovering wildlife, making friends or simply getting messy with water and sand, there’s something for everyone at one of Portsmouth’s adventure playgrounds.
Playgrounds are generally aimed at children aged between six and thirteen but younger children are still welcome if accompanied by an adult.
Every Friday during the summer holidays each playground will hold a mini festival. This will be an ideal time for parents, carers and children to visit and see what’s on offer. Check this page nearer to the time for information and festival dates during summer 2012.
