Our service aims to be child centred, friendly, safe and fun so that children can play regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion, cultural background, physical and mental abilities. However the nature of this play means children who use one of the Playgrounds cannot be confined to the playground or its grounds or prevented from coming and going as they please. These Playgrounds are not aimed as Childcare. Children learn much by taking self-chosen risks: stretching themselves: making judgements; gaining in self-confidence. They learn about their capacities and how they have the power to extend them. Through challenge children learn how to assess risk and thereby develop the capacity to form sound judgement, capacity they will come to rely on as adults.
For further information call us on 023 9282 2251.
All Playgrounds are registered under OFSTED requirements and all staff are suitable to work with children and young people.
