Planning applications and appeals using the Planning Portal

How to submit an application

It is now possible to submit planning applications online using the Planning Portal.

Use the external link to acess the site, you will be required to login or register on the site if you have not used it before.

You will then be able to submit applications and view any that you have previously made. The Planning Portal has full instructions and information on their site and give guidance as to obtaining site plans and uploading drawings.

How to appeal

Information about appeals to planning applications is available as part of the Members' Information Service (MIS), which is published each Friday. You can find copies of MIS by using the internal link.

At present it is only possible to submit Enforcement and Lawful Development Certificate appeals online by using the Planning Portal, where there are full instructions given. These appeals can be tracked using the Planning Portal.

Appeal forms, which are available from the Planning Portal, can be accepted by email by sending them to planningapps@portsmouthcc.gov.uk.
