4. Wider Policy Context
The LTP is set within a framework of policy guidance at national, regional, sub-regional and local levels. In particular, Portsmouth is actively considering the implications of growth in the sub-region and the LTP considers how transport can contribute to the growth scenarios being considered through the Partnership for Urban South Hampshire (PUSH).The Solent Transport Strategy, produced by Hampshire, Portsmouth, Southampton and the Isle of Wight authorities under the Solent Transport banner is included in all four LTPs.
