Schools Information

The Road Safety Team is continually working with all schools throughout the city to help promote road safety education.  This work is carried out through a number of ways in and out of school.

Pedestrians are one of the most vulnerable categories of road users, with child pedestrians aged between 10-15 being one of the highest casualty brackets.  For pupils, the transition from primary to secondary school is a particularly vulnerable group, who duly receive targeted attention from the Road Safety Team.

Safer Routes to School and Kerbcraft are just a couple of ways in which we are working with schools to help promote the Road Safety message.
