Lennox Road South – Experimental Road Closure
An experimental closure is in place to address traffic and safety concerns. It prevents vehicles from reaching or leaving the seafront via Lennox Road South, which is a declassified/residential road and unsuitable for large volumes of two-way traffic. The closure was the most popular of four traffic-calming options discussed with residents. An additional closure point has been added within Villiers Road to support this measure. A decision will be made as to whether to make the road closure permanent after 21 October 2013 - please follow the link for more information on the Lennox Road South closure.
