Portsmouth Leisure Card
Are you a resident of Portsmouth (paying your council tax to Portsmouth City Council)?
Are you receiving:
- Income Support
- Job Seekers Allowance
- Housing Benefit
- Disability Working Allowance
- Working Tax Credit (excludes Child Tax Benefit)
- Welfare to Work (Youth Training)
- Council Tax Benefit (excludes statutory 25% Single Persons Discount)
- Pension Credit (Guarantee Credit Element)
- Foster Carers (apply through Social Services)
You can get a Portsmouth Leisure Card, which entitles you to discounts at Portsmouth City Council Cultural Services facilities as well as discounts from some private sector establishments. You can enjoy sports centres, swimming pools, golf, museums, City Arts, Portsmouth Historic Dockyard, Royal Marines Museum and the Blue Reef Aquarium. Please note that discounts vary. A complete listing will be sent to you when you receive your Leisure Card.
The scheme is only available to residents of Portsmouth on a means tested benefit. This is anyone who pays their council tax to Portsmouth City Council and claims one of the above benefits but does not include anyone paying rent to Portmouth City Council living outside the city boundary.
