Towards a New Transport Strategy for Portsmouth

As part of the preparation of its Second Local Transport Plan the city council commissioned consultants MVA to prepare for consultation a long term transport strategy for the city through to 2026.  The strategy at this stage addresses issues of principles.  Responses to this consultation will inform the preparation of the second Local Transport Plan, which will set out specific policies and proposals and will be the subject of a further consultation later in the year.

The document can be viewed or downloaded via the links at the foot of the page.  Copies of the draft transport strategy are available for inspection from Friday 18th March 2005 at the Civic Offices, Guildhall Square during normal office hours (Monday-Thursday 8.30 - 17.00, and Friday 8.30-16.00).
