Memorial Seats
Last updated: 13 May 2010 14:53 UKThe memorial seat scheme has proved to be a very popular way of remembering loved ones, with a gift to the city which will be appreciated by many people. We are able to offer two alternative seats, depending on their location:
The Baltimore Seat £1,292.50 inc. VAT
Robust hardwood timber seat with cast iron ends. This seat is for locations along and around Southsea Seafront, subject to available space.
The Ogilvie Seat £1,116.25 inc. VAT
Robust all metal seat.
This seat is for all other locations such as parks, gardens, bowling greens and cemeteries.
Refurbished Baltimore Seat £646.25 inc. VAT
We are currently unable to add additional seats to the seafront promenade as there are plenty here already. However there are a limited number of seats on the promenade which can be fully refurbished and have a memorial plaque added.
The price of these seats includes delivery and installation. In addition, a bronze metal plaque with approximately 60 letters fixed to the seat costs in the region of £56.40 inc. VAT (this cost varies according to the length of inscription).
Orders for a memorial seat and plaque may take 8-10 weeks to be ordered and installed. A non-returnable deposit of £100 per seat is required when applying for a memorial seat.

Vandalism
Unfortunately, we cannot replace any vandalised or stolen seats or plaques. Vandalised seats may be removed from site as a matter of Health and Safety.
