Cosham High Street
In March 1976, comprehensive redevelopment proposals for the area north of Wayte Street & Albert Road were abandoned. Public consultation on alternative proposals for the pedestrianisation of the area was undertaken. Key to the scheme was the providion of rear access to affected properties.The redevelopment of the area has allowed this to happen, including:
- the Tesco superstore on the west side of the High Street
- east side the shopping redevelopment on the Corner of Albert Road/ High Street and Havant Road/High Street
