Clarence Pier
Clarence Pier was opened in its original form in 1861 (at which time it was known as Southsea Pier) and the original funfair was built during the late 1950s.In November 1967 planning permission was granted for the construction of a single storey building to form an amusement arcade on the Pier decks. Clarence Pavilion was converted from a restaurant/ballroom to an amusement arcade with bingo after planning permission was granted in November 1996.
