If you want to use a vehicle in Portsmouth to stand or ply for hire then you must hold a Hackney Carriage Vehicle Licence issued to you by the Portsmouth City Council. It is an offence for a proprietor or part proprietor to use, or permit the use of, a vehicle without this licence. Pages within ths section will tell you:
