Conservation area designation has various effects, but even in conservation areas many changes are permitted development (work which can be carried out without planning permission) In some cases special controls called Article 4(2) Directions have been introduced.
The St David's Road Conservation area was designated on 10th March 2008. A draft conservation area appraisal has now been prepared and your views are sought on this document.. A copy of the appraisal can be seen below or can be inspected at the Civic Offices Reception Desk, the Central Library or Southsea Library, Elm Grove. Comments are invited by 1 September 2008 either by letter or by email to planningreps@portsmouthcc.gov.uk..
