Conservation Area 27 - Hilsea Lines (being prepared)

View of Hilsea Lines Designated as a conservation area in 1994, the Hilsea Lines were built in the georgian period and reconstructed 1861-2. They lie at the north end of Portsea Island and stretch from Tipner Lake in the west to Langstone Harbour in the east.   

Most of this area is protected by its designation as a scheduled ancient monument and part of the area forms part of a local nature reserve.
