Green Neighbours
Last updated: 18 April 2013 14:41 UKOur Green Neighbours are local people who volunteer to help us share information about energy saving and recycling with people in their area.
Could you volunteer as a Green Neighbour?
Anyone and everyone can get involved. Whether you already have handy green hints and tips from your own experience, or are interested in finding out about energy saving and recycling and then passing on the information. We want to work with you to build a greener community.
The Green Neighbours project is being trialled in two areas of Portsmouth, Milton and Paulsgrove, so if you are interested please contact us. You could commit as little or as much time as you wish, it’s a great way to meet new people, have fun, learn new skills and become part of the community.
If you have an idea for an event that would help share your green living tips with your neighbours, or would like to help someone else with their event then let us know. Contact us on 023 9283 4670 or email green.neighbours@portsmouthcc.gov.uk.
You can find the Green Neighbours at www.facebook.com/greenneighbour. Here you'll find the latest news, pictures and updates from the neighbours.

Energy Saving Now and Then
Our first Green Neighbours project was to make the below film. Some residents of Bresler House shared the ways they used to saved energy in the 40s, with some children from Victory Primary School. The children looked at how they could use these tips to save energy now.
