Greener homes
Last updated: 21 September 2009 14:39 UKThe type of home we live in, how we look after it and our lifestyles all affect the wider environment and how pleasant our city is to live in.
We want to limit the impact of our city’s housing on the wider environment and climate change. And there is a lot we can do, ranging from making small changes in and around the home such as turning lights off, to major changes like generating and even selling our own energy.
We offer advice, practical help and access to finance to help you to make your home environment greener and more pleasant to live in. We also offer opportunities to get involved in green community initiatives, such as 'Green and Keen' courses to create a local network of knowledgeable 'Green Champions'.
You can improve your home environment and save money, whilst preserving the wider environment and saving the planet. Follow the links below to find out more.
