Saving energy at home
Last updated: 16 July 2012 16:16 UKEnergy saving at home has become more important than ever. Not only does it help improve our environment but it can save you money. We are working to make the city’s housing more environmentally friendly, create homes people want to live in, and to promote greener ways of living.
There is plenty you can do to save energy and money at home, have a look at our no cost and low cost energy saving measures.
If you are interested in energy saving and recycling we are looking for enthusiastic people to join our Green Neighbours project. Green Neighbours are local people who volunteer to help us with projects and events which show their neighbours how to save energy and waste, and how to reduce their energy bills. Volunteers can learn about energy saving and recycling, meet new people and go on trips.
As well as saving energy greener living includes recycling and saving water. For more information visit our greener living page. Have a look at the link below to see some of our previous projects. We have worked with residents to pass on their tried and tested greener living tips to you.
