Portsmouth City Council will be supplying the data it holds about its tenants and leaseholders to the Audit Commission between October 2012 and January 2013. This is part of a bi-annual national fraud initiative to ensure that the data held by the Audit Commission is correct.
We will process your personal information in accordance with the Data Protection Act of 1998. The personal details provided by you are held on a database and where the law allows, may be shared with other departments within the council to update details they hold about you. The council is required to disclose personal information to third parties (such as the police, Audit Commission or Department for Work and Pensions) for the purposes of preventing or detecting crime, fraud or apprehending or prosecuting offenders.
