Shopping is something everyone takes part in.  There are a variety of sustainable development tips that should be thought about when shopping. These include:

• buy locally produced food and cut down on food miles, support farmers' markets
• join an organic vegetable box scheme
• buy organic paints
• buy environmentally friendly cleaning and washing products
• buy recycled goods and goods with recycled packaging
• buy recycled paper or wood from sustainable forests
• support local independent shops
• buy goods with the Fairtrade logo
