Can-do-composting
The Can-Do-Composting project has been set up by Portsmouth Friends of the Earth and Portsmouth City Council and to provide help and information for schools and residents in Portsmouth. A Can-Do-Compost advisor can visit your infant or primary school to give talks, demonstrations and workshops to promote composting and waste reduction. We can help you with starting up your in-school compost scheme and provide you with follow up help if needed.
There’s also a compost demonstration site at Longmeadow Allotments on Burfields Road, Copnor. School groups can visit and take part in games and activities including compost turning, gardening and pond dipping.
Contact Tracy Jones on 023 92870628 for more information or to arrange a visit. Or email composting@portsmouthfoe.org
