Holiday play schemes

We offer an extensive holiday provision programme by aiming to meet the needs of both parent and child. We have redefined the aims of each section of our Holiday Provision Programme.

The aim of our Open Access service is to offer free leisure and recreational activities on a community basis to those areas and children that are in need of such provision, please note that at some sites a small fee will be charged.

We offer Holiday provision during the Summer holidays.

What is Open Access?

Our service aims to be child centred, friendly, safe and fun so that children can play regardless of ethnicity, gender, religion, cultural background, physical and mental abilities.  However the nature of this play means children who use one of the schemes cannot be confined to the club or its grounds or prevented from coming and going as they please. These clubs are not aimed as Childcare.

Registration

All holiday provision is regestered with OFSTED as required under the Children's Act 1989.

Open Access playschemes - open Summer 2008

  • Hilsea Youth Club at City Boys School, Hilsea

  • Wymering Open Access Playscheme at Hillside Youth & Community Centre, Cheltenham Road, Paulsgrove

  • Drayton Open Access Playscheme at Church of the Resurrection, Breacon Avenue, Drayton

  • Milton Open Access Playscheme at Langstone Church, Shore Avenue, Milton

Opening times for all of these are Monday to Friday from 28 July to 29 August 2008, from 10am to 12.30pm and 1.30 to 4pm.
