RESPECT – A musical extravaganza

Do you enjoy singing, dancing or having fun?

People from the Heart of Portsmouth are needed to take part in a variety workshops which will end in a one-off performance of ‘RESPECT – a musical extravaganza’ at the Theatre Royal, Portsmouth. 

The workshops are free and open to anyone who lives, works or goes to school in the Heart of Portsmouth CIP, which covers the south west of the city.   For the Battle of the Bands competition this only needs to be one band member. 

All groups will rehearse for four weeks before performing in the showcase at the Theatre Royal.  The free workshops will take place over a four-week period commencing September 11.

The Heart of Portsmouth Community Improvement Partnership is a multi-agency partnership covering Somerstown, Landport, Buckland and Portsea. The partnership includes 15 local schools and representatives from youth, residents’ and parents’ groups – as well as from local agencies such as the Police, Community Wardens, Sure Start and Portsmouth City Council.
