This year’s award was judged by 1,885 Year 1 pupils from 32 schools. The winning book was 'Hattie the bad' by Jane Devlin & Joe Berger. Jane Devlin visited Portsmouth in June to accept the award, and to speak to pupils about the book.
The shortlist for 2010 was:
- Paul Bright and Lee Wildish: “Charlie's superhero underpants”
- Jane Devlin and Joe Berger: “Hattie the bad”
- Liz Pichon: "The three horrid pigs and the big friendly wolf ”
- Michael Rosen and Nick Sharratt: “Dear Mother Goose”
The Picture book section of the award will be judged by 1,885 Year 1 pupils from 32 schools.
