Free school meals
To be able to have free school meals for your child, you must receive one of the following:
- Income Support, or
- Income Based Job Seekers Allowance (IBJSA), or
- Asylum Seekers Allowance under part vi of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999, or
- Child Tax Credit provided you are not entitled to Working Tax Credit and with annual income less than £14,495, or
- the Guarantee element of State Pension Credit
Families claiming Working Tax Credit are not entitled to free school meals.
