Free school meals

Free school meals are only available to families that receive:

• Income Support, or
• Income-based Job Seeker’s Allowance (contribution-based Job Seeker’s Allowance does not qualify), or
• Child Tax Credit, but not entitled to Working Tax Credit and their annual income is less than £15,575, or
• Guarantee element of State Pension Credit, or
• Support under part 5 of the Immigration and Asylum Act 1999.

If you receive Family Credit or other Social Security benefits, not mentioned above, you are not entitled to free school meals.
