Children's centres aim to support young children and their families from birth until five years with a range of high quality services.
Services that children’s centres may provide include:
Some children’s centres activities are held at other sites in the area, such as community centres, health centres and church halls. This ensures that services and activities are within reach of all families.
It is very important that parents are involved with the services that children’s centres are providing and have an opportunity to tell us what works well for them. Some centres have well established parent forums and in others these are still being developed. If you are a parent and want to know more, please do get in touch.
